【摘要】:Somespecificationscontainrequirementsrelatingtopercentageoffracturedparticlesincoarseaggregates.Onepurposeofsuchrequirementsistomaximizeshearstrengthbyincreasinginter-particlefrictionineitherboundorunboundaggregatemixtures.Anotherpurposeistoprovidestabilityforsurfacetreatmentaggregatesandtoprovideincreasedfrictionandtextureforaggregatesusedinpavementsurfacecourses.Thistestmethodprovidesastandardprocedurefordeterminingtheacceptabilityofcoarseaggregatewithrespecttosuchrequirements.Specificationsdifferastothenumberoffracturedfacesrequiredonafracturedparticle,andtheyalsodifferastowhetherpercentagebymassorpercentagebyparticlecountshallbeused.Ifthespecificationdoesnotspecify,usethecriterionofatleastonefracturedfaceandcalculatepercentagebymass.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthepercentage,bymassorbycount,ofacoarseaggregatesamplethatconsistsoffracturedparticlesmeetingspecifiedrequirements.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
