【摘要】:Mostcoatingspecificationsspecifythethicknessofthecoatingbecausecoatingthicknessisoftenanimportantfactorintheperformanceofthecoatinginservice.ThemethodsincludedinthisguidearesuitableforacceptancetestingandaretobefoundinASTMstandards.Eachmethodhasitsownlimitationswithrespecttothekindofcoatinganditsthickness.1.1Thisguidecoversthemethodsformeasuringthethicknessofmanymetallicandinorganiccoatingsincludingelectrodeposited,mechanicallydeposited,vacuumdeposited,anodicoxide,andchemicalconversioncoatings.1.2ThisguideislimitedtotestsconsideredinASTMstandardsanddoesnotcovercertainteststhatareemployedforspecialapplications.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
